Pushing the Pixels

Once a year you should try something completely new. It broadens your horizons immensely, trains your perceptiveness and you never know what this new knowledge will be good for. I’ve been doing this for a few years now, and this year is no exception. This year I’m learning how to create animations. And I’ll tell you something, I never thought it would be so easy.
All you need is a good teacher (if Daniel ever gets lost here, the world is a village and the internet is a phone box after all : Hi Daniel, I’m waving !) who will send you the link to his instructional videos, which are actually meant for his students, and then all you have to do is watch it and in the best case scenario you’ll ask yourself : How hard can it be !? And before you know it, you have already downloaded the 1 week trial and then throw away version of the corresponding software. And then you can start pushing the pixels around.

Einmal im Jahr soll man ja etwas komplett neues ausprobieren. Es erweitert den Horizont ungemein, trainiert die Auffassungsgabe und man kann nie wissen, wozu diese neuen Kenntnisse mal gut sein werden. Ich betreibe das ja schon seit einigen Jahren und so ist auch dieses Jahr keine Ausnahme. Dieses Jahr lerne ich wie man Animationen erstellt. Und ich verrate Euch was, ich hätte nie gedacht, dass das so einfach ist.
Alles was man braucht, ist ein guter Lehrer (sollte Daniel sich jemals hierher verirren, die Welt ist ein Dord und das Internet ist schließlich eine Telefonzelle : Hallo Daniel, ich winke herüber !), der Euch den Link zu seinen Lehrvideos schickt, die eigentlich für seine Schüler gedacht sind und dann müsst Ihr Euch das nur anschauen und im besten Falle fragt Ihr Euch dann : Wie schwer kann das sein !? Und eh Ihr Euch verseht, habt Ihr dann auch schon die 1 Woche ausprobieren und dann runterschmeißen Version der entsprechenden Software herunter geladen. Tja und dann könnt Ihr anfangen lustig die Pixel herum zu schubsen.

Μια φορά το χρόνο πρέπει να δοκιμάζετε κάτι εντελώς καινούργιο. Διευρύνει πάρα πολύ τους ορίζοντές σας, εκπαιδεύει την αντιληπτικότητά σας και ποτέ δεν ξέρετε σε τι θα σας ωφελήσει αυτή η νέα γνώση. Το κάνω αυτό εδώ και μερικά χρόνια και η φετινή χρονιά δεν αποτελεί εξαίρεση. Φέτος μαθαίνω πώς να δημιουργώ κινούμενα σχέδια. Και θα σας πω κάτι, ποτέ δεν πίστευα ότι θα ήταν τόσο εύκολο.
Το μόνο που χρειάζεσαι είναι ένας καλός δάσκαλος (αν ο Daniel χαθεί ποτέ εδώ, ο κόσμος είναι ένα χωριό και το διαδίκτυο είναι ένας τηλεφωνικός θάλαμος άλλωστε : Γεια σου Daniel, σε χαιρετώ !) ο οποίος θα σου στείλει τον σύνδεσμο με τα εκπαιδευτικά του βίντεο, τα οποία στην πραγματικότητα προορίζονται για τους μαθητές του, και τότε το μόνο που έχεις να κάνεις είναι να τα παρακολουθήσεις και στην καλύτερη περίπτωση θα αναρωτηθείς : Πόσο δύσκολο μπορεί να είναι !; Και πριν το καταλάβετε, έχετε ήδη κατεβάσει τη δοκιμαστική έκδοση 1 εβδομάδας και στη συνέχεια την έκδοση απόρριψης του αντίστοιχου λογισμικού. Και μετά μπορείτε να αρχίσετε να σπρώχνετε τα pixels γύρω σας.

As you can see, I have now even figured out how to make a recording directly from my laptop and accordingly feel like the ruler of the internet depths. However, I still messed up somewhere. Actually, I only wanted to try it out for a week and then cancel, but then I got a message several days ago that my phone bill couldn’t be debited. Which can’t be, but … if you don’t get it cancelled after all … you can enjoy it for longer. Well then, now I continue to push pixels through the internet !

Wie man sieht, habe ich mittlerweile sogar herausbekommen, wie man eine Aufnahme direkt von meinem Laptop machen kann und komme mir dementsprechend vor wie die Herrscherin der Internettiefen. Allerdings habe trotzdem irgendwo gemurkst. Eigentlich wollte ich das ja nur eine Woche ausprobieren und dann kündigen, aber dann habe ich voreinigen Tagen eine Nachricht bekommen, dass meine Telefonrechnung nicht abgebucht worden konnte. Was eigentlich nicht sein kann, aber …. wenn man das das dann doch nicht gekündigt gekriegt hat … hat man länger Spaß daran. Also schubse ich jetzt weiter Pixel durch das Internet !

Όπως μπορείτε να δείτε, έχω βρει ακόμη και πώς να κάνω μια εγγραφή απευθείας από τον φορητό μου υπολογιστή και να αισθάνομαι σαν ο κυρίαρχος των βάθους του διαδικτύου. Παρόλα αυτά, κάπου τα έκανα θάλασσα. Στην πραγματικότητα, ήθελα να το δοκιμάσω μόνο για μια εβδομάδα και μετά να το ακυρώσω, αλλά μετά πήρα ένα μήνυμα πριν από μερικές ημέρες ότι ο λογαριασμός του τηλεφώνου μου δεν μπορούσε να χρεωθεί. Το οποίο δεν μπορεί να είναι σωστό, αλλά … αν τελικά δεν καταφέρεις να το ακυρώσεις … μπορείτε να το απολαύσετε για περισσότερο καιρό. Λοιπόν, τώρα συνεχίζω να σπρώχνω pixels μέσω του διαδικτύου !
